Mahatma Phule Mahavidyalaya, Pimpri, Pune-17 is one of the 43 colleges run by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara and affiliated to Savitibai Phule Pune University. The College was established in 1983 with the objective of catering to the educational needs of the wards of industrial workers in Pimpri-Chinchwad area.
The college offers three year integrated programmes in B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc in conventional subjects. Along with this we also have started B.B.A. (Computer Application) and B.Voc.(Mass Communication) skill oriented degree programme on self-financing basis. We also run PG programmes. M.Sc (Organic Chemistry), M.A. /M.Sc. (Geography), M.A. (Marathi), M.A. (Economics), M.A. (History), M.A. (Hindi) programmes affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and M.Com., B.Lib. and M.Lib. programmes affiliated to Y.C.M.O.U along with B.A, B.Com, is another distinguished feature of the college.
The faculty of the college which is well-qualified, dedicated and experienced strives to sustain quality and academic excellence and encourages the students to participate in various curricular co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and committed to pursue our mission and goals We foster creativity, fortitude, integrity and leadership qualities among the students for their over-all personality development. The students of our college are also in the forefront in research, cultural and sports activities at university, State, National and International levels.
The college also runs various Skill-based Add on Courses to lead the students towards their personality development, placement and self-employment. We have planned our short term and long term goals by preparing perspective plans based on the parameters of excellence. We ultimately groom groom our students to scale new heights on the phenomenon of globalization.
The college has been awarded ‘Best Innovative College Award’ by Centre for Educational Development Authority (CEDA) in 2018.
It is a matter of pride that the college has been accredited twice with ‘A’ grade and is the first to be awarded ‘A’ grade in 2010 in Pimpri- Chinchwad area.
Many of our sports persons have won awards at National and International Sports competitions.
