Internal Complaint Cell is a committee that receives complaints on sexual harassment at the workplace from aggrieved women as well as inquires into the recommendation to the employer on the action required under its inquiry of such a complaint made.
The internal complaint cell has been established according to the provisions of the sexual harassment and women at the workplace (prevention, prohibition, and redressal) Act 2013 and UGC guidance 2016. Mahatma Phule Mahavidyalaya has zero tolerance against disrespect and exploitation of women.
Objective:
1. To create a secure physical and social environment for women.
2. To develop guidelines against women harassment.
3. To organize women sensitization awareness programs.
4. To provide a safe environment that is free from sexual harassment.
5. To promote a social and psychological environment that will raise awareness about sexual harassment.
6. Recommend appropriate punitive action against the guilty.
7. Prevention of discrimination and sexual harassment against women.
Role of Committee:
1. To create and ensure a safe work environment that is free of sexual harassment, especially for girls and women.
2. To make note of complaints of sexual harassment of women employed, to conduct inquiries, and provide assistance.
3. To recommend to the concerned authorities, follow-up action, and monitor the same.
4. To maintain an atmosphere of equality and gender justice.
5. To prepare annual reports.

Internal Complaint Cell:

The committee organizes the meeting with students and tells all information about the cell. In the Induction program or principal address, Students are informed. A suggestion box is kept for the complaints. Online sessions as well as co-curricular activities are organized by the college. Programs like “Good-Touch and Bad-Touch” for the school-going girls were also organized. Workshop on women empowerment, counseling for awareness and Nirbhaya Kanya Abhiyan and lectures on laws related to women create awareness amongst students. The committee holds one formal and the informal meeting in every year. For the security CCTV cameras are installed in all campus and classes.
